Descrição: Billy is a 51 ton 0-6-0 Diesel Electric shunting locomotive and is one of two built by the Hudswell & Clarke company for the Manchester Ship Canal railway system in 1959, its powered by a National Gas N4AA6 engine of 400 B.h.p with a tractive effort of 34,000 lbs it was numbered 4002 & originally carried the name "Arundle Castle" but since its arrival at the East Lancashire Railway its been known simply as "Billy" this is throught to be the first time this loco has been started up in 4-5 years, and its runs really well all things considered, it did take power but was blocked in and only able to move a few inches (blink & you'll miss it!!) this is hopefully in preperation for the Small Loco (Or Shunters event) that is being held on the ELR 21st & 22nd of July.
