You ready? Get out a piece of paper and a pencil and I'm going to tell you how to win $500 in the contest that is up coming tomorrow Friday at Noon. First, put the words in the information box, some of us like to follow along ... Number 2, shorter is usually better than longer. If you want to write everything you've ever felt or heard or read in one poem - send it somewhere else. Tip number 3, if you want to write some kind of flowery love poem, forget it. As far as I'm concerned, edgy is good. And finally, folks ... I know this is a writing competition, but you know ... writers gotta look the part; if you're a man maybe you have a little bit of a beard, or if you're a woman maybe you wear some black. You know, maybe you put on some sunglasses; maybe you put on a black hat. Because you know what? Talent is one thing, lookin' good is another! Success to ya ..."
