Descrição: "Baby Girl" particularly captures the theme of a young romance minded teenager who is denied the apple of his eye, supposedly, due to his age. Every daughter deserves to know she's worth fighting for, and every boy should fight the good fight. There is no greater measure of a boy's feelings than his willingness to stand up, not to the father, but the almighty mother, and declare his worthiness. The first half of the poem is an angry testimony toward the mother, referred to as, "the anti-dove," and the second half is dedicated to praising the daughter or "Baby Girl" who was obviously very pretty. Dedicated to all the boys who were taught they were not good enough, and to the daughters who never got to experience a love that could've been meant to be. This poem can be related to by anyone, be it boy or girl, young or old, because at some point we were all denied the apple of our eyes!
